1.8 Electrical Connections
Basic Information
• It is recommended that the negative side of the power supply be grounded.
• It is possible to power up to eight 350 ohm load cells or sixteen 700 ohm load cells.
• For 4-wire load cells, make a jumper between EX- and REF- and between EX+ and REF+.
• Connect terminal 0 VDC to the RS-485 common when interfacing to A/C powered equipment so that there is an opto-
isolated RS-485 connection.
• In the event of an RS-485 network with several devices, it is recommended to activate the 120 ohm termination
resistance on the two devices located at the ends of the network. See
Figure 1-3. Wiring Diagram
