When Receiving or Running a file, all of the analysis is performed on all of the packets received
or run from the file. To help narrow down details on a specific stream, select a specific stream
by tapping it in the
NetworkStream s list. Below is the result of selecting the first
NetworkStream . There is a new status window in the lower right of the screen, showing more
details about this specific stream. Including:

From – Identifies the Source IP address and the Source Port

To – Identifies the destination IP address and the destination Port

Elapsed – identifies the elapsed time this receive has been running.

AvgIPG – identifies the Average Inter Packet Gap, showing the average time between
subsequent packets in this stream, and the calculated frequency of this specific streams
packet arrivals in Hz (in parenthesis).
For this next screen,
Listen was also selected, showing an audio graph in the upper right
window of the decoded audio from this network stream.
The Gain slider in the right dashboard adjusts visually the level in the audio graph. The Volume
slider in the right dashboard adjusts the audible level in the speaker/headphone of the
recovered audio.
The type of audio can be decoded as if it were either
G.711ulaw , or G.711alaw , or raw 16 bit
PCM audio or raw 8 bit PCM audio using the decode section in the lower right details
selections. Sometimes using 8 bit PCM on data that is of a different format is sufficient to listen
to in order to know that when things are silent, there is a given sound in the audio, and when
there is speech, there is a definite change in that recovered audio sound.
An
Audio Filter can be enabled to improve the sound of the audio, if it is indeed audio.
