SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
General
This section provides the necessary information needed by those personnel that
are responsible to place the machine in operational readiness and maintain its
safe operating condition. To ensure maximum service life and safe operation, be
sure that all inspections and maintenance has been completed before placing
the machine into service.
Preparation, Inspection and Maintenance
It is important to establish a comprehensive inspection and preventative
maintenance program. Table 2-1 outlines the periodic machine inspection and
maintenance recommended by ReechCraft. Consult your local, regional or
national regulations for further requirements.
NOTE:
The frequency of inspections must increase as environment and frequency of use
requires.
Pre-Start Inspection
It is the operators responsibility to perform a Pre-Start Inspection of the
machine prior to use. Reference Section 2 in this manual for Pre-Start Inspection
procedures.
This manual must be read and understood in its entirety prior to performing a
Pre-Start Inspection.
Frequent and Pre-Delivery Inspection
The Frequent Inspection and Pre-Delivery Inspection shall be performed by a
competent person or a qualified mechanic.
The Frequent Inspection and Pre-Delivery Inspection procedures are performed
in the same way but at different times. The Pre-Delivery Inspection shall be
performed prior to each sale, lease or rental delivery. The Frequent Inspection
shall be performed on each machine in service for 3 months; out of service for
more than 3 months; or when purchased used. The frequency of this inspection
must increase as environment and frequency of use requires.
Reference the appropriate areas of this manual for service and maintenance
procedures.
