7.3.2 Power connection and serial connection
Electrical installation should only be carried out by a qualified and competent electrician.
Incorrect installation can cause electric shock or equipment damage or even death.
a. The power cable must be connected directly to MCB in the consumer unit of the
correct rating.
b. A lockable isolator must be fitted to the correct rating at the appliance.
c. The power cable should be specified to meet appliances power rating, and suitable for
fixed installation.
d. The three-core power cable must be suitable for the installation type.
e. The serial connection must be a three-core shielded cable of minimum 20-25 AWG.
f. Both cables must be clamped to the heat exchanger box with the strain relief clamps
already installed.
g. Both cables must also pass through strain relief gromets if exiting the heat pump
thought he rear installation panel
h. Ensure that the electrical cables are routed in such a way that they are not in contact
with the compressor or heating pipes.
i. RED except no responsibility for injury or damage caused due to the incorrect
installation of the appliance earthing, including the failure to earth copper piping
leaving the heat pump and entering the dwelling house.
