Chapter 12. Software License
12.5. Solving License Problems
The first step toward solving a license problem is determining whether the license file has been prop-
erly included in a CCS archive. When creating an archive with the
ccs_tool
command, it is possible
to give it the verbose option,
-v
. The verbose option causes the
ccs_tool
command to list all of the
files being placed into the archive;
license.ccs
should be one of them.
If the archive has already been created,
ccs_tool
can be run with the list action in order to list the
files in an archive. Again,
license.ccs
should be in the list of files.
If the CCS system is up and running, the
ccs_read list
command can be used to check for the
license file’s inclusion. Additionally, the
ccs_read file license.ccs
command can be used to
view the contents of the license file. The
license_tool
command checks the validity of a license.

Using the Cluster Configuration System
for reference information, if needed.)
Incorrect time and date settings on a node can also result in license-related problems. Refer to Section
