This example configuration has the following key characteristics:

•

Fencing device — An APC MasterSwitch (single-switch configuration). Refer to Table B-4 for

switch information.

•

Number of GFS nodes — 3. Refer to Table B-5 for node information.

•

Number of lock server nodes — 3. The lock server nodes are dedicated to running as lock server

nodes only, and are external to the GFS nodes. Refer to Table B-6 for node information.

•

Locking protocol — LOCK_GULM. The LOCK_GULM server is run on each lock server node.
