8.2 Point of Entry (POE)
1. The antenna cable can be routed into most vehicles through the rear hatch. Route the cable under the
door weatherstripping and either above the headliner, or behind the interior panels. Be sure to seal the
POE with silicone or other sealants to prevent water from leaking into the vehicle when necessary. Other
acceptable POEs are bringing the cable between two outside panels, behind the rear light assembly or an
existing grommet located under the vehicle.
Warning:
RBC is not responsible for damage to a vehicle caused
by improper installation techniques and practices by
the installer. Only an RBC certified installer should
perform this installation.
Warning:
RBC does not recommend drilling into the
vehicle’s roof for a POE. RBC is not responsible
for damage to a vehicle caused by drilling into the
vehicle’s roof.

8.3 Routing Cable Inside the Vehicle
1. Once the cable is inside the vehicle, continue routing it along the floor or headliner to the receiver’s
location (Figure 8-3).
Warning:
Be extremely careful when routing the cable above
the headliner as it can crease and damage very easily.
2. Use appropriate panel poppers and standard industry tools to remove vehicle panels.
3. Ensure that the cable is secure before replacing any removed vehicle panels as damage may occur to the
cable by the panel clips. Continue routing the antenna cable to the receiver’s location.
