4. The rotating joints and bracket supports are designed so that the mount can be adjusted up and down
on the crossbars (Figures 5-4 and 5-5). The mount should be at least 1/2 inch above the vehicle’s roof. This
will help prevent the mount from bouncing and making contact with the roof during rough driving conditions.

5. While adjusting the rotating joints and bracket supports, keep pressure on the back of the bracket support
so that it remains flush with the crossbar while making height adjustments of the mount. Once you have
determined the correct adjustments of the brackets, carefully remove the antenna from the roof and tighten
the screw that attaches the rotating joint to the mount (Figure 5-6). Snap the plastic screw cover into place.
Warning:
The T7, when properly installed, increases the vehicle height
by 7-10 inches over the vehicle roof. Make sure the driver
is aware of the new height of the vehicle with the installed
antenna. Use caution when driving under overpasses,
parking garages and other low clearance areas.
