7 Mobile Receiver Placement
This section offers a general explanation of proper placement of the mobile receiver inside of the vehicle.
1. The receiver should be placed in a secure and protected location within the vehicle. A typical location
for the receiver is under one of the seats (Figure 7-1). Be sure to verify that moving the seat forward and
back will not disturb or damage any cables.
2. Some vehicles have hidden floor compartments in the middle row seating or hatch area (Figure 7-2).
This type of location is ideal for concealing the receiver.

3. Other vehicles may have space behind the side panels or within the center console (Figure 7-3). Be sure
there is room for the system cables and allow space for proper ventilation.
4. It is standard practice to use temporary adhesive or tape to secure the receiver within the vehicle. The
receiver kit includes screws for hard mounting the receiver to the vehicle. Use care when drilling for hard mounting.
