13 Remote Control
This section will explain how to operate and program the remote control.
13.1 Basic Remote Control Functions
The remote control is used to navigate the Program Guide, channel selection and volume adjustment. The
following are basic controls of your remote (Figure 13-1):
Channel/Page Selection
: Use the
(+)
and
(-)
keys to manually switch between channels or
pages in the Program Guide.
Volume
: Use the
(+)
and
(-)
keys to change the volume level of the system.
Power Standby
: Places the receiver into standby and will disconnect power to the antenna.
Turning the system back on with this button will not require the receiver to go through the normal
boot up process, but it will take about 1 minute to begin viewing programming.
TV/Radio
: Switches automatically to the first TV channel or the first music channel of the Program Guide.
Mute
: Turns the volume off/on.
Guide
: Brings up the Program Guide.
Back
: This button backs out of the current screen and returns to the previous screen selected.
Info
: Brings up the channel’s information (program name, date & time, ratings, and signal strength).
Menu
: This will bring up the system menu where you can set various system settings.
Exit
: Selecting this button will exit out of the current menu or Program Guide screen.
OK
: Selects the menu item that has been selected.
