If the care status is green, the steam generator is free of scale.

If the display is yellow, the steam generator has some scale
n
If the display is red, the steam generator has a lot of scale. Start a cleaning program immediately, at least
before next being asked to clean the unit.
15.5 Start automatic clean

The hinging racks are correctly placed in the cooking cabinet.

The mobile oven rack is correctly placed in the cooking cabinet.

If your unit is equipped with the optional integrated fat drain, take the fat drip tray out of the cooking cabinet
and insert the plug into the drain pipe hole . You can set the unit so that you are prompted to close the
integrated fat drain before starting an automatic clean. Click here for more information: Integrated fat drain
1. Press the button in the menu bar:

If the cooking cabinet temperature is above 50 °C, this message is displayed: Cooking cabinet too hot
2. Start the cool down function [ } 44] to reduce the cooking cabinet temperature.
3. Select the desired cleaning programme [ } 88].
4. Open the cabinet door.
5. Remove all containers, racks and trays from the cooking cabinet.
6. WARNING! Danger of chemical burns! Wear tight-fitting protective glasses and chemical-safe protective
gloves for reliable protection when handling Active Green cleaner tablets and care tabs. Unpack the
displayed number of Active Green cleaner tablets and place them in the indentation in the floor drain sieve.
7. Unpack the displayed number of care tab packages and place them in the care drawer.
8. Close the cooking cabinet door.

The automatic clean starts when the door is closed.

Once the automatic clean is completed, an acoustic signal will sound.
TIPS

If foam forms in the cooking cabinet during the automatic clean although you used the recommended
number of Active Green cleaner tablets, reduce the number of tabs in the next automatic clean. If foam still
forms, contact your RATIONAL Service Partner.
15.6 Abort automatic clean
You can abort all automatic cleaning programmes, except for the fast clean, 30 seconds after you start them. After
that, the automatic clean cannot be aborted.
