14.1
Profile and rights management
You can group users into profiles and assign access rights to these profiles. By default, your unit is assigned a
profile that cannot be deleted. You can add up to 10 more profiles.

Create new profile
1. Press the button

4. If you want to derive a profile from an existing profile, press the button:
from an existing profile
5. If you want to derive a profile from a profile template, press the button:
from a profile template

A message saying that the new profile has been successfully created will be displayed.
6. Press in the icon bar to return to the overview of user profiles.

1. Press the button

2. To give the profile a name, press the button:
Change profile name
3. Enter a unique profile name and press the Enter key on the keyboard.

You will return to the profile overview.
4. To assign a password to the profile, press the button:
Change profile password
5. Enter a password and press the Enter key on the keyboard. Document the password and protect it against
access from unauthorised third parties. If you forget the password, you can no longer access the settings. In
this case, please contact your RATIONAL service partner.

6. To assign a language to the profile of the unit interface, press the button:
Change language
7. Scroll through the list and select the language you want.

8. To assign the profile, if it should be the main user or a profile with restricted rights, press the button:
Change profile type
9. Select
Main user
if the user profile should have all rights to be able to edit profiles. If you select this profile
type, all users will have full access to the unit
10. Select
Restricted user
if you want the user profile to have restricted rights. If you select this profile type,
you can hide all elements of the user interface except the favourites.

11. To assign a primary country cuisine to the profile, press the button:
Change primary country cuisine
12. Scroll through the list and select the desired primary country cuisine.

You will return to the profile overview.
13. To assign a secondary country cuisine to the profile, press the button:
Change secondary country cuisine
14. Scroll through the list and select the desired secondary country cuisine.

You will return to the profile overview.
15. If you want to hide all the elements of the user interface except the favourites, press the following button
behind
Hide all elements except favourites
