Programming The 2461 Module 4-37

Read Protocol

A ‘master’ uses this command to determine what protocol is used in the word serial protocol used
by the ‘slave’.

Command:

DFFF

The supported protocol word is placed in the Data Low Register.

Response:

FE23

The 2400 VXI Instrumentation:

-- is capable of generating the events.

-- supports the Read Interrupts, Read Interrupt Line, and Assign Interrupt Line

commands.

--  supports the Word Serial Trigger commands.

--  supports the VXI IEEE-488.2 Instrument protocol.

--  supports the VXI Instrument protocol..
