To manually send a status data or configuration data report:
1. Under
Email Type
, select the type of report to send (
Status data
or
Configuration data
).
2. In the
Send To
box, enter the e-mail address of the recipient.
3. Click
Send
.
Viewing Configuration Data
To view a configuration data report:
1. Under
Email Type
, select
Configuration data
.
2. Click
View
.
The
System Configuration Report
window displays.
3. (Optional) Click
Save
to save a local copy of the report in TXT format.
SNMP
The
SNMP
page allows you to configure the DXi6900 to send status messages using SNMP (Simple
Network Management Protocol). The DXi6900 supports SNMP v1 and v2c.
SNMP works by sending messages, called protocol data units (PDUs), to different parts of a network, or
communities. SNMP compliant devices, called agents, store data about themselves in Management
Information Bases (MIBs) and return this data to the SNMP requesters.
You can configure the DXi6900 to act as an agent and send traps to a specified destination. You can also
add SNMP community information.

Destinations
The
Destinations
page allows you to manage the destinations the DXi6900 sends SNMP traps to. You can
add, edit, and delete SNMP destinations, and you can specify the types of traps to send.
