Displaying Decoded Text
Applicable to all rigs.
Rigs that decode text
and have a CAT interface that allows the SideKar
Decoder Edition to retrieve the decoded characters include:

Elecraft KX2, KX3, K3, K3S
•
QRP Labs QCX, QSX
For displaying rig decoded text from Elecraft KX line or K3, the
SideKar
Decoder Edition takes advantage of the innovative rig
feature whereby the rig decodes incoming data and displays
the decoded text on a scrolling 8-character display at the
b
ottom right of the rig’s screen. The data could be PSK31,
PSK63, RTTY, or CW.
It doesn’t matter.
The SideKar Decoder Edition captures these characters as
they are decoded and displays them on an 80-character
screen for easier reading.
Similarly for QCX rigs, the decoded CW is captured and
displayed on an 80-character screen.
