Media should be stored in its original wrapper, on a flat surface, away
from dust and sunlight.
Preventing Media Jams
Some printer problems are caused by improper handling of media or
use of the wrong media and consumables. The following section pro-
vides information about correctly handling media and preventing
jams. Several things you can do to reduce print media jamming in
your printer are

Set the printer for the print media type and size currently in the
cassette. (Use the Tray Select and Media keys on the control
panel. Chapter 1, “Printer Configuration,” of the reference guide
explains how to use the control panel.)

Use QMS supplied toner and developer, and use QMS-recom-
mended print media.
