Accessing QCOLOR for the Macintosh
» Note: If your Macintosh has QuickDraw GX installed, see “Accessing
QCOLOR for a Macintosh with QuickDraw GX Installed” on page 6.
1 If you haven’t already, install the Macintosh printer driver.
See “Installing Macintosh Printer Drivers” in chapter 1, “Connect-
ing the Printer” for information.
2 Open or create the file you want to print.
3 From the application’s File menu, choose Print.
4 In the Print dialog box, choose Options.
5 In the Options dialog box, in the QCOLOR Setup listbox,
select one of the following options:
n
Printer's Default (to use the settings chosen at the printer
control panel)
n
Graphics (if you're printing color graphics)
n
Photographic (if you're printing photographic images)
n
Text and Spot Color (if you're printing text or spot colors)
n
Third-Party Color Management System (CMS) (to allow
your application to control color settings)
n
Overhead (if you're printing overhead transparencies)
You can select any of the QCOLOR color setup options for trans-
parency printing if you select Transparency from the Media listbox
without changing any other options.
» Note: The media tray you're using must be configured for the
media type it contains. This can be done through the printer
control panel (in the Operator Control/Media menu). See “Printing
on Different Types of Print Media” on page 23 for more
information.
