Connecting to a Network
1 If you purchased your printer with a network interface
installed, skip to step 2.
Otherwise, you need to install an optional network interface
card. See chapter 2, “Printer Options,” of the reference guide
for information on installing a network interface card.

System Administrator’s Guide
for information on connecting
the printer to the network and installing any host software
necessary for your environment.
3 Check the printing section of your network documentation
for any additional steps required to attach and configure the
printer.
An Ethernet or a Token-
Ring network interface is
available for this printer.
The Ethernet interface is
shown in this illustration.
