Load check
The EZ2 Connect MDx comes with a built-in camera, which is designed as an aid to ensure the
operator has loaded all of the cartridges and labware into the correct positions on the worktable.
However, the contents of the labware (e.g., liquid levels) in the tip rack are not checked, so the
operators must make sure that they have carefully followed the instructions related to the protocol
being run.
Note
: Follow the instructions on the User Interface as well as those given in the respective kit
handbook.
The load check is mandatory and automatically starts after you tap
Start
in the
Run setup selection
overview
dialog window. For more information on starting a run, refer to the Starting the protocol
run and monitoring its progress section (page 118).
After the load check starts, the camera moves above the worktable and checks all positions on the
cartridge rack and the tip rack, and the
Load check is in progress
screen is shown on the display.
The positions that you chose in the
Select sample positions
screen are highlighted.
