5-2-15 Electromagnetic brake
Magnetic brake (kept the brakes, lost electric brakes) is used to put the motor and vertical or
tilt
workbench
lock up, prevent
workbench
declining when the servo power is losing. To realize the
function, need to choose and buy the motor with brakes. Brakes can only be used to keep the
workbench, never could be used to slow down and stop the machine movement.

Following is the brake the wiring diagram, drive brake release signal BRK connected to the
broken electric coil, relay contacts connected to brake power supply. Brake power was provided by
users and it with enough capacity. Suggest
install
surge absorber to curb relay links/fault movement
caused
surge voltage .
Also can use diode as surge absorber , must pay attention to that may cause
little brake delay.

period of time (time determined by parameters L166), remove the motor power supply.
The motor is in operating (faster than L165) the servo OFF, and then the motor current is cut
off, the brake is continue to stay at release state, after delay a period of time, it brake. That, in order
to make motor to slow down from high rotation speed to low speed, then make machinery brake to
action to avoid damaging brake. Delay time is the time that the parameters is L167 or motor speed
slowed to L168 parameters need to cost, and it is the minimum value between the two.
