•

If the selected network has not configured yet, do the following. 

•

PLEXTALK automatically detects the security mode of the network. 

•

Enter the password with Numeric keys. If "No security" is selected, entering the 

password is not required. After you have finished, press the Down key to confirm. 

•

If the PLEXTALK cannot detect the security mode, select the security mode with the 

Left or Right key and enter the password with Numeric keys and then press the Down 
key. 

•

Select "stealth setting". If the wireless network uses stealth function, select "ON". If it 

does not, select "OFF". Then press the Enter key. 

•

Select "DHCP setting". Use the Left or Right key to select "Enable" for automatic 

setting or "Disable" manual setting and press the Enter key. If "Enable" is selected, 

setup menu proceeds for proxy setting. 

•

Enter IP address. One IP address consists of 4 areas. PLEXTALK reads numbers of 

the first area. If you want to change the numbers, enter new numbers by numerical 

keys then press the Right key to go to the next area. If you do not want to change the 
numbers, simply press the Right key. 

•

Enter numbers from the second area to the fourth area. Press the Right key to go to 

the next area. To go back to the previous area, press the Left key. Once entering is 
completed, press the Down key. 

•

Enter subnet mask. Do the same method as entering of IP address. 

•

Enter default gateway. Do the same method as entering of IP address. 

•

Enter DNS setting. Primary and secondary DNS settings are available. Do the same 

method as entering of IP address. 

•

Select "proxy server setting". To use a proxy server, press the Left or Right key to 

select "Enable" and then press the Enter key. If you do not use a proxy server, select 
"Disable" and press the Enter key. 

•

If "Disable" is selected and the Enter key is pressed, menu is closed. 

•

If "Enable" is selected, enter the address of the proxy server and press the Down 

key when the entering is finished. 

•

Then enter a port number of the proxy server and press the Down key. PLEXTALK 

tries to connect to the wireless network. 

•

The menu automatically closes when connection is successful. If the connection 

failed, PLEXTALK automatically returns to the menu to select an available wireless 
network. 

 

Note: Refer to the section 17 "Entering text" for details of Entering text. 
Note: Network settings such as a Network name (SSID) and a security mode depend on 
each network. Set up the network settings by following your network environment. 

Note: If WEP is selected as security mode, a password is 5, 10, 13, or 26 characters. For 
a security mode besides WEP, a password is between 8 and 64 characters.
