15. Using PLEXTALK's Voice Memo functions

In addition to using PLEXTALK as a DAISY player, music player and as a DAISY recorder,
you are also able to use it for recording simple Voice Memos.

15.1. Recording a new Voice Memo

To record a new Voice Memo, do the following:

•

Press and hold down the Record key and speak the memo.

•

Release the key when you are finished.

•

PLEXTALK will insert a new Voice Memo into the internal memory and will then

return you to the title you were in before recording the new Voice Memo.

Note: You cannot record a continual Voice Memo that lasts for more than 1 minute. When
you exceed 1 minute, PLEXTALK automatically stops recording.
Note: The total amount of available recording time for Voice Memos is 30 minutes. The

maximum number of individual memos is 200.
Note: If the recorded time exceeds 30 minutes, or the number of memos exceeds 200,
you will hear a warning message. You should then delete any unnecessary Voice Memos

or backup your Voice Memos to an SD card.
Note: For Voice Memos, the audio compression is fixed at MP3 32kbps monaural.

15.2. Reviewing existing Voice Memos

You can review your existing Voice Memos either sequentially or by going direct to a

specific Voice Memo. To listen to your existing Voice Memos sequentially, do the
following:

•

Press the Title key repeatedly until PLEXTALK says "Voice Memo".

•

Use the Left or Right key to move sequentially through the existing Voice Memos.

•

If you wish to hear the current Voice Memo again, press the Play/Stop key.

To go direct to a specific Voice Memo, do the following:

•

Press the GoTo key once.

•

Use the Number Pad to enter the number of the required Voice Memo, followed by

the Enter key.
