6.14. Getting information on the current status 

 
You can get a range of information on the current status, about heading, page, bookmark 
and so on. Whether PLEXTALK is playing or not, do the following: 

 

•

Press the Number 5 key once. 

•

A range of information will be spoken. 

•

If you do not wish to listen to all the information, and wish to step through individual 

items more quickly, you can do this by repeatedly pressing the Number 5 key. 

•

If you have heard what you want to hear, you can stop the spoken information by 

pressing the Enter key. 

 

•

Press and hold down the Number 5 key to hear the current date and time. 

 

6.15. Selecting a playback mode 

 

To select the shuffle and repeat settings from playback modes, do the following: 
 

•

Press the Menu key once to access the Main Menu. 

•

Use the Left or Right key to go to the "Playback Settings" option and select it by 

pressing the Enter key. 

•

Use the Left or Right key to go to the "Shuffle and repeat settings" option and select 

it by pressing the Enter key. 

•

Use the Left or Right key to go to your preferred playing mode and select it by 

pressing the Enter key. 

 

6.16. Using bookmarks 

 

6.16.1. Types of bookmark 

 
There are 3 types of bookmark you can use in PLEXTALK as follows: 

 

•

Numbered Bookmarks: You can insert up to 10000 Numbered Bookmarks. Each 

bookmark is assigned a unique number in the range 1 to 65000. 

•

Voice Bookmarks: These are Numbered Bookmarks that have accompanying voice 

annotations. Voice Bookmarks use memory. The total memory available gives about 
30 minutes of recording time. If you try to exceed this allocation, the oldest bookmark
