Additional information
Optional system settings
All the available settings in the standby setu p
menu a r e listed below. See the notes in each
section fo r mo r e info r mation about the settings.
The fi r st setting in each section is the default.
1 Switch the system into standby.
2 Press SHIFT+SETUP and use
/
then
ENTER to choose the setting you want to adjust.
The available settings a r e shown in the f r ont
p anel dis p lay.

confirm and exit.
System demo setting
Switches the automatic demo featu r e on o r off
(this sta r ts when you p lug in fo r the fi r st time):
• DEMO ON – Switches the demo featu r e on.

DEMO OFF
– Switches the demo featu r e off.
Frequency step setting
If you find that you can’t tune into stations
successfully, the f
r equency ste p may not be
suitable fo r you r count r y/ r egion.
• AM 9K
• AM 10K
DTS CD setting
If you p lay a DTS-encoded CD, you will need to
change this setting to hea r the decoded signal.
• NORMAL – Regula r CD p layback; some
DTS-encoded CDs out p ut a noisy signal.

DTS-CD
– P r o p e r decoding of DTS-
encoded CDs; the beginning of r egula r CD
t r acks may be ski pp ed.
Key lock setting
• LOCK ON – Makes the f r ont p anel buttons
and cont r ols ino p e r ative.
• LOCK OFF – Resto r es r egula r use of the
f r ont p anel buttons and cont r ols.
Setting the sleep timer
The slee p time r switches off the system afte r
about an hou r so you can fall aslee p without
wo rr ying about it.

• Press SLEEP repeatedly to select an
option.
Choose between the following o p tions:
• SLP ON – Switches off afte r about an hou r
• SLP OFF – Cancels the slee p time r
Afte r selecting SLP ON , you can pr ess SLEEP
again to check how much time is left. Each line
indicates a
ppr oximately 12 minutes

Dimming the display
You can adjust the b r ightness of the text in the
f r ont p anel dis p lay.

select DIMMER then press ENTER.

1 The setu p menu is exited automatically afte r 5 minutes of inactivity.
