Parental Lock

To give you some cont r ol ove r what you r
child r en watch on you r DVD p laye r , some DVD-
Video discs featu r e a Pa r ental Lock level. If you r
p laye r is set to a lowe r level than the disc, the
disc won’t p lay.
Some discs also su pp o r t the Count r y/A r ea
Code featu r e. The p laye r does not p lay ce r tain
scenes on these discs, de p ending on the
Count r y/A r ea Code you set.
Registering a new password
Registe r a p asswo r d to change the Pa r ental
Lock level o r ente r a Count r y/A r ea code.

1 Select ‘Password’.
2 Use the number buttons to input a four-
digit password then press ENTER.
Changing your password
To change you r p asswo r d, confi r m you r
existing p asswo r d then ente r a new one.
1 Select ‘Password Change’, input your
existing password, then press ENTER.
2 Enter a new password and press ENTER.
Setting/changing the Parental Lock
1 Select ‘Level Change’.
2 Use number buttons to enter your
password, then press ENTER.
3 Select a new level and press ENTER.

Setting/changing the Country/Area code
You can find the Country/Area code list on
p age 49.
1 Select ‘Country Code’, input your
password, then press ENTER.
2 Select a Country/Area code then press
ENTER.
The r e a r e two ways you can do this:
• Select by code lette r : Use

the Count r y/A r ea code.
• Select by code numbe r : P r ess

then use
the numbe r buttons to ente r the fou r -digit
Count r y/A r ea code.
The new Count r y/A r ea code takes effect afte r
ejecting the disc once.
