Electric Shock
The Operetta operates with up to 240V AC. Highly dangerous electric voltages occur
in a number of places throughout the system.
Danger!
Direct electrical contact - Electrical shock.

The system may only be connected with properly installed
protective earthing conductor.
l
Service has to be carried out by qualified PerkinElmer service
personnel only!
l
Turn main power off and unplug from mains for a complete
disconnection.
l
Unplug from mains before replacing the fuses.
l
Use only the provided power cable.
l
Check the power cable for damages before switching on the
Operetta. Do not use the instrument with damaged power cable.
l
In case of a damaged power cable contact PerkinElmer to
request a new cable.

Disconnecting from Mains Supply
The on/off switch does not switch off the Operetta immediately. There will be a
controlled shutdown of the electronics with a certain delay before the instrument is
really switched off.

In case of emergency unplug the power cable to disconnect the
Operetta from mains supply immediately.
l
The mains connection must be accessible at any time.
