Process Data Direction for 16DIO Modules with 8DI/8DO Profile

IO Mapping Configuration (Only for 16DIO Modules)

Using IO mapping configuration, it is possible to alter the data structure of input/output data (I/O 
data). By default, each I/O channel is represented in order in the process data. Existing PLC 
programs may sometimes use a different channel assignment.

Using these parameters, all I/O channels can therefore be freely assigned to a bit in the I/O 
data. It is important to note that double assignments are not possible. If incorrect parameteriza-
tion of the IO mapping is detected when transferring the configuration, the Ethernet IO module 
will report an error. Misconfiguration can be viewed via the status page of the web interface.

The permitted value range and the default value of the parameters depend on the selected pro-
file. A channel can also be set inactive with the value 255.

For example, if a channel were configured with a value of 3, its status value would be trans-
ferred to the 3rd bit of process data. This applies to both data directions as long as they have 
been configured with the "Process Data Direction

”

 for the channel. For further information
