Reset
To reset the Xplorer to its original factory default settings,
perform the following:
•
Disconnect the Xplorer from a computer and turn off
the Xplorer’s power.
•
Simultaneously hold down the Minus, Plus, and Dis-
play buttons while turning the power back on.
•
Release all buttons after the Xplorer displays “Xplorer
Startup”. If the Xplorer then briefly displays “Cold
Reset” the reset has been successful.
NOTE: ANY DATA SETS PREVIOUSLY STORED IN
THE XPLORER WILL BE ERASED, BUT FIRMWARE
UPGRADES WILL BE PRESERVED.
Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution(s)
Xplorer temporarily
blanks out in direct
sunlight.
Put Xplorer in a shaded area.
Avoid placing Xplorer in direct
sunlight.
DataStudio does not
retrieve data from
the Xplorer.
Check your USB cable connec-
tion to the Xplorer and to your
computer.
During data retrieval,
DataStudio asks to
update the firmware.
Answer “Yes” and follow the
instructions in DataStudio.
