Switching Sensors During Manual Sampling
Xplorer allows you to take measurements using multiple
sensors during manual sampling by swapping the con-
nected sensor. This allows you to take two or more mea-
surements from multiple sensors using the single sensor
port of the Xplorer.
In the Manual Sampling mode, you can plug or unplug a
sensor into the Xplorer at any time. After you press ,
Xplorer takes a single measurement from the sensor cur-
rently plugged in.
For example, to measure temperature and pH at different
locations in a pond, start manual sampling, plug in each
sensor and press at each location you want to measure.
After retrieving data, DataStudio displays each sensor’s
data.
Smart Sampling Method
Sometimes, you want to capture a phenomenon that hap-
pens quickly or unexpectedly. Examples are the force of a
cart colliding with a wall or the sudden acceleration experi-
enced on some amusement park rides. Xplorer includes the
“Smart Sampling” method for cases like these.
