Measuring with the Sample Rate Method
1. Select the Sample Rate display. (Also see “Changing
the Sampling Method.”)
2. Press . (Xplorer
begins measuring and
storing at the speci-
fied sample rate.)
A clock appears in the
display’s upper-right
corner to indicate that
Xplorer is measuring.
3. To stop taking mea-
surements, press
again. (Xplorer displays the number of data sets
collected, including the one you just completed.)
Reasons for Changing the Sample Rate
Xplorer automatically sets the sample rate to a default
value when you plug in a new sensor. This default sample
rate is a good starting point for each sensor and likely will
not require changing. However, in some situations, a
faster or slower sample rate has advantages. A faster sam-
ple rate allows you to see changes that occur more rapidly.
