you unplug a sensor from Xplorer and delete all data sets,
Xplorer clears the sensor setting memory. All sensors then
revert to their factory settings the next time they are used.
Using Xplorer with DataStudio
Xplorer has many capabilities as a data logger away from a
computer, but it is also useful with DataStudio for real-time
measurement and display. DataStudio recognizes a
PASPORT sensor connected via an Xplorer and directly
measures and graphs data from it. When an Xplorer is con-
nected to a computer running DataStudio, it does not log
data, but transmits data directly to DataStudio for display
and storage. Additionally, the Start button on Xplorer
works as an alternate way to click “Start/Stop” within Data-
Studio! Every connected Xplorer offers an additional but-
ton to start and stop a DataStudio activity.
DataStudio detects and uses up to eight different Xplorers
or USB Links in any combination in the same activity.
Each Xplorer and USB Link can have a different (or the
same) type of sensor connected. DataStudio automatically
detects the plugging and unplugging of Xplorers, USB
Links and PASPORT sensors, and changes the setup to
immediately reflect the changes in connected sensors.
DataStudio also provides a simple way to perform calibra-
tions and change the sample rate for a sensor. When you
make calibration changes in the DataStudio setup window,
Xplorer automatically retrieves them.
