Raising the backrest and leg rest/Lowering the
backrest and leg rest (AUTO CONTOUR OPERATION)

Lowering the backrest and leg rest (AUTO CONTOUR OPERATION) (Flat/Trendelenburg) *
Motorizing emergency back-lowering operation
z z
The angle of the backrest and leg rest can
be moved at the same time to set the flat/
Trendelenburg position.
z z
The leg rest moves higher at the same time when
the backrest is lowered. When the DOWN button
(AUTO CONTOUR OPERATION) is held down,
the recliner stops temporarily at the flat position
(backrest approx. 0°, leg rest approx. 0°). When the
DOWN button (AUTO CONTOUR OPERATION) is
pressed and held down again, the recliner moves to
the Trendelenburg position (backrest -12°, leg rest
12°).

This operation can be performed using the foot
control switch.

Armrest moves together with the backrest.

When the recliner is moved to the flat/
Trendelenburg position with the DOWN
button (AUTO CONTOUR OPERATION),
the operation is performed at an
operation speed faster than “Fast”.

Raising the backrest and leg rest (AUTO CONTOUR OPERATION) (Recliner)

The angle of the backrest and leg rest can be
moved at the same time to set the chair position.
z z
The leg rest moves lower at the same time when
the backrest is raised. The UP button (AUTO
CONTOUR OPERATION) can be held down to
move the backrest to 75° and the leg rest to -30°.

This operation can be performed using the foot
control switch.
* Angle limit function
z z
The angle between the backrest and leg rest is kept at 105° or more (when the backrest angle is 30° or
more, or when the leg rest angle is 0° or more).
• Raising backrest
When the backrest starts rising, the leg rest starts lowering simultaneously. The leg rest stops when it
becomes flat.
• Raising leg rest
When the leg rest starts rising, the backrest starts lowering simultaneously. The leg rest stops when it
reaches its maximum angle (12°).

For safety reasons, you cannot disable the angle limit function.
z z
Even when the backrest or leg rest operation buttons are disabled, the backrest or leg rest
can be moved automatically by the angle limit function.
