DTE Cabling

Connect each modem in an odd-numbered slot to the

adjacent modem in an even-numbered using DTE

crossover cables: 1 to 2, 3 to 4, and so on. The crossover
cable is reversible; the pin assignments are the same at
both ends. (See Appendix B.) Attach the cable to the DTE
A (top) port of the modems. See Figure 4-3.
