Using NPST-GR Programming Support Tool
The tools to be prepared : NPST-GR Software
: AFP266538
FP Peripheral Cable
: AFP5520(0.5m) or AFP5523(3m)
RS422/232C Adapter : AFP8550
RS232C cable

Computer
: IBM PC-AT 100 % compatible
MS-DOS(PC-DOS) Ver.3.3 or higher
1) Connect the RS422 port on the CPU to the RS422 port on the RS422/232C Adapter with the FP Peripheral
Cable. Then, connect the RS232C port on the RS422/232C Adapter to RS232C port on your computer using
an RS232C cable.
2) Run the NPST-GR software on the computer.
Set the NPST configurations.
<PLC Type, Port selection, Transmission rate, etc.>
3) Set the NPST-GR to ONLINE mode.
Pressing the “Esc” key while holding down the “Ctrl” key, to change between ONLINE <-> OFFLINE .
4) Select the “X. DATA MONITOR” from the ONLINE MONITOR FUNCTION MENU.
Pressing the “F10” key with holding down the “Ctrl” key, the FUNCTION MENU window will appeare.
5) Set an operand(in the memory area) to be monitored.
Press the “F6” key and select the operand to be monitored. Then enter the address.
To store the selection, press the “Enter” key.
If all the operands you want o monitor have been selected, press the “Esc” key .
6) Begin monitoring.
Press the “F5” key to start monitoring.
7) Select the number system yoou want from the three possibilies(Hexadecimal, Decimal, Binary)
Press the “F7”(hexadecimal), “F8”(decimal) or “F9”(binary) key while holding down the “Shift” key to
change the number system.
8) Pressing the “F3” key will close the data monitor window will be closed.
