1. Setting the Station Number(UNIT NO.)
• A station number(UNIT NO.) can be selected using the two Station Number(UNIT NO.) Selectors.
The number must be within the range of 01 to 32 and cannot be duplicated on that network.
• A station which will be using P/W PC Link functions should be given a station number within the range of 01 to
16.
Notes:
How to set the station number(UNIT NO.)
Turn the dials to the desired station number(UNIT NO.) with a phillips screwdriver.
The upper dial is used to set the tens-digit and the lower dial is used to set the ones-digit. Be sure to enter both
digits of the station number.
[EXAMPLE]
Set the upper digit with the top rotary switch, and the lower digit
with the bottom rotary switch.
Use a phillips screwdriver to change the station number(UNIT
NO.).
2. Setting the Mode Selector Switch(MODE SW.)
Terminal station condition and PC Link Mode can be set with the Mode Selector Switches(MODE SW.).
Note:
1. Selecting PC Link Mode
When you want to use the P/W PC Link function, the unit must be activated in the PC Link Mode.
Set Mode Selector Switch 1(MODE SW. 1) to OFF.
Note :
2. Setting the terminal station condition
The two W Type(Wire) Link Units located at each end of a network must be specified as the terminal stations.
Set Mode Selector Switches 3 & 4 (MODE SW. 3 & 4) on the two units to ON.
Notes :
• Be sure to turn OFF the Mode Selector Switches 3 & 4(MODE SW. 3 & 4) if the unit is not a terminal
station.
• The Mode Selector Switches 3 & 4(MODE SW.) should always be set to the same position.
• Be sure that any unit using this mode has a station number(UNIT NO.) in the range of 01 to 16.
• The setting for Mode Selector Switch 2(MODE SW. 2) is ignored.
• If an invalid station number(UNIT NO.) is assigned in a network, an error will occur and the ERROR
2 LED will flash. When an error has occurred, data communication will be disabled.
• If a station number(UNIT NO.) is assigned to more than one unit in one network, an error will occur
and the ERROR 2 LED will turn ON.
• You may leave station numbers(UNIT NO.)unassigned, if you wish. That is, you can assign station
