The additional test cable is
used to connect the optical

power meter to the link

under test, but is not used

for setting a reference.

Therefore, this test cable

should be checked prior to

testing to ensure it does
not introduce excessive
loss into the final optical

loss measurement.

Connect a mating sleeve to the end of each reference cable, then plug an additional test cable
as shown. Press any key on the meter to proceed.
