Saving and Deleting Data/Tests
Immediately following a test or after changing gates on saved data selecting the File icon
presents the user with the options to Save , Print or Delete a test (see images below left and
middle). If saved data has been opened but not edited, this button will appear as Done instead.
Selecting Save results in the data being written to the user disk in FCS 3.1 format for retrieval
on a Mac/PC or for later retrieval from the Saved Data area (icon on the Home screen). A blue
indicator bar is shown at the top of the screen to let the user know the status of the save
procedure. Selecting
Delete presents the user with a pop-up option of Yes or No to delete the
test. Selecting Yes will remove any history of the test. Selecting No cancels the delete
operation.
All or groups of saved tests can be deleted as a batch by selecting the Delete All button in the
Saved Data area of the software or by checking tests in the Saved Data area and selecting the
Delete Selected button.
CAUTION: Be cautious not to delete all data unless data has been transferred to a Mac/PC or
file is determined unnecessary. Data cannot be retrieved once deleted from the instrument.
Exporting Data Screenshots
Data screenshots can be generated by selecting File | Print | Export Screenshot (see image
sequence below) from the test screen. Selecting this option will save a file with the same file
name and a .bmp extension (in the example below, it will be saved as Open-011.bmp).
Screenshots can be transferred to a computer following the instructions in the “Exporting Data”
section this User Guide.
Caution Subsequent screenshot exports for the same test will overwrite any existing
screenshot associated with that test.
