Fluorescent Gating of Dot Plots

Fluorescent gating enables the user to separate populations based on mean fluorescence
instensity (MFI). Selecting the red

Gate Adjustment Toggle

icon when the size (blue) gates are

enabled disables the size gates and enables the fluorescent (red) gate functionality. The user
can then touch and drag the red markers to adjust the positioning of the fluorescent gate up or
down. All data points that are located above the fluorescent gating line (and within the blue size
gates) are included in the “Upper Population” statistics (images below, black box to the right
underneath the scatter plot). Those data points below the line are included in the “Lower
Population” statistics (images below, black box to the left underneath the scatter plot).
