Replacing the Servo Driver
1. Make a note of the parameters.

If using Computer Monitor Software, start the program, and transfer and save all the parameters in
the Servo Driver to the personal computer.

If not using Computer Monitor Software, write all of the parameter settings using Parameter Unit or
Servo Driver operation keys. (Refer to
6-3 Parameter Setting Value Table
.)
2. Replace the Servo Driver.
3. Set the parameters.

If using Computer Monitor Software, transfer all the parameters stored in the personal computer to
the Servo Driver.

If not using Computer Monitor Software, set all the parameters using a Parameter Unit or Servo
Driver operation keys.
4. Set up the absolute encoder (ABS).
S
If using a Servomotor with an absolute encoder, when replacing the Servomotor, the absolute data
in the absolute encoder will be cleared, so you need to reset the data. Also, the rotation limit data
will be different from before you replaced the Servomotor, so initialize the Motion Control Unit set-
tings.
