Wiring Precautions
Refer to the following for noise prevention when wiring counter inputs A, B,
and Z.

Use shielded, twisted-pair cable and ground the shield to a resistance of
100
Ω
max.
2.
Make the wiring as short as possible and do not run the wires parallel to
lines that produce a lot of noise, such as high-power lines.
3.
Try to use a separate stabilized power supply for the High-speed Counter
Unit and another power supply for other I/O.
4.
Be sure not to reverse the polarity when wiring a line driver input.
5.
Be sure to connect wires to a 5- to 24-VDC output power supply terminal
and COM (0 V) terminal correctly. If the wires are connected to these ter-
minals reversely, the built-in fuse will blow out. The built-in fuse cannot be
replaced by the user.
