Step 5: Set the Required Smoothing/Sharpening Algorithm

The algorithm that is applied where pixel values need to be re-calculated is controlled by the Filter

setting associated with the Analyser/Converter.
The steps to use are outlined below. For further information, see Section B.1.7.

To set the interpolation algorithm that is applied:



Click on Analyser/Converter block to select this.



Select the required algorithm from the drop-down menu of

Filter

settings shown in the right-hand panel.

Note:

Selecting

SMPTE Flat

selects the algorithm adopted by SMPTE

as its standard.
