A.4.5 Presets Toolbar
Presets store particular combinations of settings and other selections,
for easy recall on subsequent occasions. The
Ultra
offers five sets of
Presets – one for the Viewer window, one for the Connections
window, one for Generator settings, one for System Configuration
data and one for Video Configuration data. (Similar information
about selections of Test Patterns is saved and recalled using Export &
Import options.)
Presets are identified by number 1, 2, 3 etc. and the role of the Presets
toolbar is to enable you to select the Preset you require. Presets are
selected by simply clicking with your mouse on the digits of the
required number.
Further information about Presets is given in Section B.3.
A.4.6 Saving Settings etc. to Disk
A wide variety of
Ultra
settings and data can be saved to disk either for use in a different
application or on another
Ultra
or simply as a backup.
The option of downloading the data to disk is offered either through an Export ‘button’ or through
a Download icon ( ) depending on the type of information that is involved.
In both cases, the information is typically saved under a standardised name to the Downloads
directory on your Control device (PC or handheld) though it may be possible to set up your web
browser to display a File Selector that allows you to set your choice of filename and directory
within the range of directories accessible from your Control device.
Note:
Where the
Ultra
is being driven using a mouse/keyboard plugged into one of its USB ports,
you will need a USB stick plugged into the other USB port to carry out the following actions.
