5. Measurement
Symptom:
Action/Resolution:
Reports no sensor data
• Update all devices with the same Project File.
• Ensure the parameters for the H2S sensor are correct on the transmitter.
•
Check the Gateway's firmware for the latest version. Older Gateway firmware is may not be compatible
with the H2S transmitter.
•
If the device cannot read the sensor, then the sensor should be replaced, no other serviceable parts.
If COM ERROR shows on the LCD, ensure that the H2S module is secured correctly and the cable is
connected to the back of the LCD module.
RF Transmitter Timeout fails • Set 3x higher than the transmit interval time.
No Read Panel is displayed when taking a
reading
• Verify Configuration Cable is securely connected to the device and PC.
•
Replace the Battery Pack.
• No RF communication to the Gateway. Check the Gateway for proper configuration.
Transmitter reports incorrect
measurements
• Check the Transmitter for damage or malfunctions.
• Verify that the Sensor connected to the Transmitter is working correctly.
• Verify the scaled values (if used) have the correct calculations.
•
The sensor may need to be replaced, no other serviceable parts.
Measurements fluctuate
• Change the Channel of your Project File and update all of your system’s devices.
• To eliminate possible crosstalk or radio interference with other sites in the area, verify Enhanced Site
Security (ESS) is enabled.
•
The sensor should be replaced, no other serviceable parts.
