Performing a Bump Test
Use the OleumTech Bump Test Kit part # SX1000-BTK.
WARNING
: Verify that gas concentration in the area has dissipated to a
safe level before clearing alarms.
a.
In order to perform a bump test, all latched alarms must first be
cleared using the external scroll button.
b.
Press and hold the external button until the next screen is shown.
c.
A 10-second countdown timer will start for you to initiate the test
procedure by pressing the external button.
d.
A 300-second/5-minute countdown timer will start for you to conduct
the bump test.
e.
When the H2S detection level meets the set minimum bump test level,
an OK message will be shown to confirm success of the test. The
minimum bump test level is the High-High alarm limit.
f.
During the bump test, if the sensor detects H2S levels that sets off any
of the alarms, A1 and A2 alarm status will be shown.
WARNING
: During the bump test, with Bump Alarms ON, the system is still
live. Take precaution as the bump test may trigger a possible shutdown.
