2-sided: Makes a single two-sided copy of the left and right pages of a
bound original.
The Two-sided modes that are available depend on the copier and the optional
equipment installed.
The screen displayed when the [Two-Sided Mode] key is pressed differs depending on the
optional equipment installed.
The paper of 20 to 28-lb bond (80 g/m

2-Sided copies cannot be made with 17 to 20-lb bond (64

) paper.
Two-sided copies cannot be made onto transparencies.
Be sure to set the paper into the Stack Bypass when making a copy on the reverse side (second
side of a two-sided copy) of paper where the front side has already been copied. Loading such
paper into a drawer or the Paper Deck may cause damage to the copier main unit.
Do not copy onto the same side of a sheet that has already been copied onto, as doing so will
cause damage to the copier main unit.
The message “Copying the back side” is displayed during the second side copying. This is
because the copy of the first scanned original (first side copy) appears on the back side when it
is output.
