12.1 Self Diagnostics
You can perform self-diagnostics to see if there is any hardware malfunction. You can
selectively test part of the items.
There are two test options: You can tap Menu to select all test items and tap run to start a
comprehensive testing. Or you can select the desired testing items by checking the boxes.
12.2 Auto-Con fi gurator
This application provides a user-friendly
way to set up operator speci
fi c settings,
including GPRS, WAP, and MMS.
The auto con fi guration process can be performed as soon as the SIM card is accessible. It is
activated via 2 ways.
1.
During every cold/warm boot, the operator ID obtained from the SIM card will be compared
with the current setting. If they don’t match, a dialog box will ask you if you want to perform
network con
fi guration now. Once con fi rmed, the auto-con fi gurator will be launched to
con fi gure your device to the current preferred network.
2. When auto-con fi gurator is launched via the Programs menu, the same detection process
will be carried out and the possible selections will be listed in the preferred network.
Please note
The Auto Con fi guration process is started only when the device is in HOME network (not
international roaming).
