Adding or Replacing an Expansion Card

This chapter describes how to add or replace an expansion card in the Passport
5430 as follows:

Adding an Expansion Card

To add an expansion card:

Turn off the Passport 5430.

For instructions, see “Turning the Passport 5430 On and Off” on page 6-9.

If a redundant power supply is installed, turn it off.

Put on an antistatic wrist strap.

For instructions, see “Attaching the Antistatic Wrist Strap” on page 3-2.
