Installing and Operating the Passport 5430 Multiservice Access Switch

If you are replacing an installed PMC module, do the following:

a.

Locate the installed PMC module 

(Figure 8-2)

.

b.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the 4 screws that secure the 
PMC module to the system processor card.

c.

Grasping the edges of the PMC module, pull it straight up and lift it 
out of the module socket.

d.

Place the PMC module in an antistatic bag, or set it on an antistatic 
mat.

Make sure that you are installing the appropriate PMC module on the 
system processor module.

For instructions, see Table 2-1 on page 2-3. 

12.

Hold the new PMC module with the connectors facing down.
