Using Passport 4400 Install Tool Version 4.2
Help Page Does Not Open
Incorrect Backpanel Display
Install Tool Window Is Empty
Error Condition: While one help page is visible on the screen, you click the
Help button on a different Install Tool dialog panel. The
browser window should display the help page for the
currently selected dialog panel, but fails to do so.
Possible cause: This condition has been observed with Netscape Navigator.
The cause is unknown.
Possible resolution (1) Exit from your browser, then click the Help button again. The
correct help page opens.
Possible resolution (2) Reinstall Netscape Navigator.
Error Condition: Install Tool displays a 3-slot rather than a 5-slot configuration.
Possible cause: The ribbon cable from the Ethernet Base Module to the power
supply is disconnected or not correctly strapped.
Possible resolution (1): Check Status Cable installation as directed in
Passport 4400

Possible resolution (2): Check Jumper J12 installation as directed in
Passport 4400

Error Condition: When you start Install Tool, an empty window opens, rather
than a window with a menu and a backpanel image.
Possible cause: Install Tool loses communications after initial contact with the
Passport 4400 has been made.
Possible resolution (1): Reestablish the connection (using File, Connect).
Possible resolution (2): Check your connections (Ethernet or serial port).
Possible resolution (3): Restart the Install Tool wizard.
