Replacing basic chassis components

703t Server Maintenance and Diagnostics

129

Replacing the side cover

After you complete your work with the interior components of the
server, replace the side cover. If you removed them, reinstall the chassis
feet on the bottom of the server.

To replace the side cover

1

Hold the cover flat against the chassis.

2

Slide the cover toward the front of the server until it locks into place.

3

Tighten the two thumbscrews on the back of the server.

4

If you removed the chassis feet, reinstall them.

5

Connect all external peripheral device cables and the power cord to
the back panel.

6

Power up the server.

Before you replace the side cover, ensure that no tools or loose
parts are inside the server chassis.
